Dec 26, 2022 FSA Groomer’s Report
Current Conditions:
21cm new snow in the past 48 hours. 30cm in the past 7 days. Snowpack heights between 133cm-233cm. Total snowfall this season 368cm. Forecast for today is temperatures rising to near 0C with 12-18cm new snow possible - watch for freezing rain at valley bottom. Outlook for the week indicates up to 65cm new snow expected by Thursday.

Grooming:
Corbin: OPEN. Groomed Dec 24th from the staging area to the McClatchie.
Coal Creek: OPEN. Coal Creek Trail, Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail groomed last night. Parking lot plowed. New door knob coming for the main cabin door - please ensure door is closed behind you until we can get back up there to replace tonight.
Morrissey: CLOSED. Currently demobilizing post timber harvesting activities. Snowcats working to rebuild the snow road and fill in bridges on the Morrissey trail from the staging area to the Summit Trail junction. Trail has been rebuilt and groomed from the Summit / Doug Dean to the Wranglers Cabin. Do not drive up the road/park - you will likely be ‘trapped’ in by the snowcat. FSA will not be grooming the McEvoy or Pipeline this winter as the areas remain CLOSED for pipeline construction. Please see the map and further details HERE.
Hartley: OPEN. The first groom is scheduled is behind a few days due to extreme cold weather lsat week. Aiming for a groom after Christmas.
Ram: OPEN. No grooming. Cabin open. The Lodgepole FSR will be plowed from the lower Morrissey parking lot to the Flathead this winter for timber harvesting.
