Dec 27, 2022 FSA Groomer’s Report
Current Conditions:
18cm new snow overnight. 46cm in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights between 144cm - 250cm in most riding areas. Total snowfall this season is 407cm. Forecast for today is temperatures near 0C at valley bottom with freezing levels around 1100-1600m. Snowline during grooming shift last night was around Paige’s Draw elevation (1/3rd way up Coal Creek Trail). 12-20cm of new snow expected today.

Grooming:
Corbin: OPEN. Groomed Dec 24th from the staging area to the McClatchie. Next groom scheduled for today.
Coal Creek: OPEN. Coal Creek Trail, Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail groomed last night. Parking lot plowed. New door knob coming for the main cabin door - please ensure door is closed behind you until we can get back up there to replace tonight.
Morrissey: CLOSED. Currently demobilizing post timber harvesting activities. Snowcats working to rebuild the snow road and fill in bridges on the Morrissey trail from the staging area to the Summit Trail junction. Trail has been rebuilt and groomed from the Summit / Doug Dean to the Wranglers Cabin. Do not drive up the road/park - you will likely be ‘trapped’ in by the snowcat. FSA will not be grooming the McEvoy or Pipeline this winter as the areas remain CLOSED for pipeline construction. Please see the map and further details HERE.
Hartley: OPEN. The first groom is scheduled is behind a few days due to extreme cold weather lsat week. Aiming for a groom after Christmas.
Ram: OPEN. No grooming. Cabin open. The Lodgepole FSR will be plowed from the lower Morrissey parking lot to the Flathead this winter for timber harvesting.
