January 25, 2025 FSA Grooming Report
CONDITIONS:
This morning: -19C in town this morning, -12C at cabin elevation this morning with 16km/hr winds. 0cm new snow in the past 7 days . Total snowpack heights variable based on riding zone but 178 cm measured at the plot at 120cm measured at upper elevations in exposed areas tis week. Total snowfall this season 461cm.
The last two weeks have brought little new snow due to the typical January dry spell. Riders can expect a variety of conditions. In exposed areas at higher elevations, the snow is generally wind-hardened and firm, while mid and lower, sheltered zones seem to still be offering about 10 cm of softer, windblown snow resting on a well-packed base. All trails are in excellent condition.
Today: Possible morning low cloud and fog patches, otherwise sunny with a few bands of cloud. High near -8.
Tonight: Mainly clear during the evening, low cloud and fog patches developing overnight. Low -13 or -14.
GROOMING:
JAN 24 - 28, 2025: Due to overnight temperatures dropping to -20°C and winds ranging from 10-20 km/h, grooming operations have switched to DAY GROOMS until January 28th, 2025.
Staging is at our regular valley bottom parking areas and all trails have great coverage.
Corbin: Groomed Friday.
Coal Creek: Coal Creek, Summit and Doug Dean Trail groomed last night.
Morrissey: Morrissey and McEvoy groomed last night
Hartley: Groomed yesterday.
Ram: Open. No grooming.
