Current Conditions:
-24C at cabin elevation. 24cm new snow in the past 24 hours. 50cm new snow in the past 48 hours. 96cm in the past 7 days. Total settled snowpack heights 187cm or more in mid to upper riding elevations.
Today: Snow, easing to a few flurries by late afternoon. Light accumulation, possible 5 to 10 cm. Windy at times, very high wind chill and possible blowing snow. High near -20, trending a few degrees colder. Tonight: Variable cloud and a 60% chance of flurries during the evening, minor accumulation possible. Cloudy with clear periods overnight. Windy at times, high or very high wind chill. Low near -34.

The Elk Valley is under an extreme cold weather advisory from Wednesday January 11th through the weekend. More details HERE. Our grooming program may be adjusted to protect equipment and staff including shifting to day grooming only, reducing grooming km to stay closer to home, or postponing grooming entirely until conditions warm.

Grooming:
Corbin: Open. Groomed Monday from from staging area to Rain Gauge and Lower Barnes.
Coal Creek: Open. Coal Creek, Summit, and Doug Dean groomed last night. Matheson and Martin last groomed over the weekend. The lowest section of the Coal Creek Trail has two sections to be aware of under the current low snow:
A short hill that can become icy with low snow / traffic.
An ephemeral stream with open water running from the early December rain events and recent warm temps.
Morrissey: Open. Morrissey Trail groomed last night.
Hartley: Waiting for more snow before we start up grooming in the Hartley area.
Ram: The cabin at Ram is unlocked for the season.
