Dec 16th 2023 FSA Grooming Report

Current Conditions:

-2C with 6m new snow in the past 24 hours, 24cm new snow in the past 7 days. Today: Mainly cloudy with a 50% chance of light flurries.  Minor accumulation possible, trace to 1 cm.  Windy at times.  High near -2. Total snowpack heights in mid-upper mountain riding areas are around 115cm tapering off at valley bottom.

Corbin, parking lot Dec 15 2023


Grooming:

Corbin: Open. Groomed. Please show membership to kiosk staff or have $25 cash to purchase day ticket.

Coal Creek: Road building activities are in progress at Coal Creek, and the first full groom is expected on December 23rd. Note an ephemeral stream running on the new section of the lower trail with open water related to last weeks precipitation event. Generally low snow conditions throughout most trails and riding areas at this time.

Morrissey: Currently plowed for timber harvesting. Expect heavy equipment and hauling 24/7. Winter snow road building is scheduled for December 19-22nd, with the first full groom anticipated on December 23rd.

Hartley: The first groom at Hartley is scheduled just after Christmas as conditions allow.

Ram: The cabin at Ram is unlocked for the season. Lodgepole is plowed to the McClatchie for timber harvesting activities.
