Jan 5 2023 FSA Groomer’s Report

Current Conditions:

0cm new snow overnight. 15cm new snow in the past 7 days. Snowpack height 160cm+ in riding areas. Total snowfall this season 458cm. Temps this morning: -10.7C with light winds at cabin elevation and -11.1C with light winds at ridgetop. Today: mix of sun and cloud, trace of new snow, 20 to 30 km/h southwest wind, treeline temperature - 12 °C. Today: increasing cloud, flurries possible later in the day, 2 to 5 cm new snow, 10 to 20 km/h south wind, treeline temperature -4 °C.

Grooming:

Corbin: OPEN. Groomed Dec 31st to the McClatchie and Jan 4th to the Rain Gauge.

Coal Creek: OPEN. Coal Creek, Doug Dean groomed Jan 3. Upper Coal Creek and Summit Trail groomed last night. New drift

Morrissey: OPEN. Groomed from staging area to Wranglers Cabin. FSA will not be grooming the McEvoy or Pipeline this winter as the areas remain CLOSED for pipeline construction. Please see the map and further details HERE. Very limited parking this season at Morrissey; lower lot closed and upper lot full of construction materials - not suitable for trucks with trailers.

Hartley: OPEN. No grooming.

Ram: OPEN. No grooming. Cabin open. The Lodgepole FSR will be plowed from the lower Morrissey parking lot to the Flathead this winter for timber harvesting.
