Jan 3 2023 FSA Groomer’s Report
Current Conditions:
0cm new snow this week. 50cm new snow in the past 7 days. Snowpack height 162cm+ in riding areas. Total snowfall this season 457cm. Temps this morning: -9C with light winds at cabin elevation and -12.3C with light winds at ridgetop. Today increasing cloud coverage with a trace of snow, 20 km/h southwest wind, treeline temperature -9 °C.

Grooming:
Corbin: OPEN. Groomed Dec 31st to the McClatchie.
Coal Creek: OPEN. Matheson groomed Dec 30th. Coal Creek Trail and Doug Dean Trail groomed last night. Tiller motor case drain line became disconnected which caused the motor shaft seal to fail. As a result, Summit Trail not groomed. We should be able to pick up seals in Calgary today and be back to our regularly scheduled grooming program this evening. Watch for snowcat on side of trail near Paige’s Draw.
Morrissey: OPEN. Groomed from staging area to Wranglers Cabin. FSA will not be grooming the McEvoy or Pipeline this winter as the areas remain CLOSED for pipeline construction. Please see the map and further details HERE. Very limited parking this season at Morrissey; lower lot closed and upper lot full of construction materials - not suitable for trucks with trailers.
Hartley: OPEN. No grooming.
Ram: OPEN. No grooming. Cabin open. The Lodgepole FSR will be plowed from the lower Morrissey parking lot to the Flathead this winter for timber harvesting.
