December 5th, 2024 FSA Grooming Report
CONDITIONS:
-6C at cabin elevation this AM. 4cm of new snow in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights variable but around 140cm at the cabin.
Today: Sunny with a few bands of cloud, low cloud and fog patches possible during the morning. High -1 or -2.
GROOMING:
Corbin: Groomed from the staging area the McClatchie and Barnes connector yesterday.
Coal Creek: Road building and track packing started up on Nov 24th, the following has been completed. Watch for grooming equipment on trail at all times as we work towards our anticipated early opening of December 7th:
Road plowed to Coal Creek staging area and staging area plowed. Berms built at trailhead.
Trail built between groomer building and Coal Creek Staging Area
Road Building and track packing from Coal Creek Staging Area to Rolling Hills Cabin, Doug Dean, Summit Trail.
Morrissey: Road building and track packing started Dec 4th, the following has been completed. Watch for grooming equipment on trail at all times as we work towards our anticipated early opening of December 7th.
Trail built between 4-corners and Wranglers Cabin (old cabin trail)
Road building and track packing to the Notch.
Hartley: First groom scheduled before Christmas as conditions allow.
Ram: Open. No grooming.
