November 25th, 2024 FSA Grooming Report


CONDITIONS:

-7C at cabin elevation this AM. 79cm of new snow in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights variable but around 130cm at the cabin. 

Today: Snowing, heavy at times. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 late this morning. High minus 1. Wind chill minus 12 this morning and minus 7 this afternoon.


GROOMING:

Corbin: Scheduled to open Nov 29th. Grooming team is out today, Nov 25th, track packing and road building.

Coal Creek: Scheduled to open Dec 20th or sooner as conditions allow. Grooming team completed the following yesterday and we will be continuing to work throughout the next two weeks to shoot for an early opening as conditions allow. Watch for grooming equipment on trail at all times.

  • Road plowed to Coal Creek staging area and staging area plowed. Berms built at trailhead.

  • Trail built between groomer building and Coal Creek Staging Area

  • Road Building and track packing from Coal Creek Staging Area to Rolling Hills Cabin

Morrissey: Scheduled to open Dec 20th or sooner as conditions allow.

Hartley: First groom scheduled before Christmas as conditions allow.

Ram: Open. No grooming.
