Feb 24, 2025 FSA Grooming Report


CONDITIONS:

This morning, it’s 1°C at cabin elevation with light winds and -4C at the peak. 18cm new in the past 24 hours. 41cm in the past 7 days. Settled snowpack 223 cm and the season total 616 cm.

Today: Cloudy with fog patches, gusty winds and a 60% chance of flurries during the early-mid morning.  Sunny breaks or possible sunny periods developing late morning or early afternoon.  High 2 or 3.

Tonight: Snow/rain developing mid evening, a few snow showers and flurries overnight. Snow level 1600-1800 metres, dropping to between 1100-1300 metres. Moderate accumulation possible. Gusty winds. Low -1 or -2.


GROOMING:

Staging is at our regular valley bottom parking areas and all trails have great coverage.

Corbin: Groomed 6 days ago. No grooming scheduled this week due to unexpected maintenance on the snowcat and current avalanche hazard. We are working on troubleshooting and hope to be back up and running shortly.

Coal Creek: Coal Creek, Doug Dean, Summit Trail groomed last night. Freezing line during the weekend storm cycle was Paige’s Draw elevation around 1540m.

Morrissey: Morrissey groomed last night. Freezing line during the weekend storm cycle was just above FWA gate / bottom of Summit Trail elevation around 1540m.

Hartley: Groomed 9 days ago. Grooming on hold for avalanche hazard.

Ram: Open. No grooming.
