The Fernie Snowmobile Association is ramping up for another exciting winter season and looking for talented people just like YOU to join our team.

Trailhead Guest Services Staff

Staging area staff serve as front-line ambassadors of our organization and play an integral role in revenue collections and trail user services. You will work inside our warm, secure trailhead kiosk welcoming riders and selling trail passes. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality alongside experience with cash handling and submitting daily reports. No snowmobiling experience is required.

  • Wage $20-$30/hr depending on experience and worksite location

  • Shift: 7:30am - 1pm with opportunities to work between 1 to 7 days a week

  • Location: Coal Creek, Morrissey, or Corbin

  • Requirements: All applicants for this position must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite under winter driving conditions. There is no public transportation / worksites are not ‘walkable’ from town.


Snowcat Trail Groomer Operator

Our snow cat groomer operators will play an integral role in the provision of a safe, enjoyable backcountry trail network for residents and visitors in the Elk Valley. This position requires an experienced grooming operator who can work independently in a variable, backcountry, winter work environment while adhering to safe work procedures and organization guidelines

  • Wage $25-$35 / hr depending on experience

  • Shift: Flexible between 30 – 40 hours per week on a 3-4 day / week scheduled grooming pattern. Shifts may be adjusted due to weather and trail use needs.

  • Location: Hartley, Corbin, Coal Creek and Morrissey

  • Requirements: All applicants for this position MUST HAVE A MINIMUM of 2 years experience or more operating a snowcat groomer and an AST level 1 certificate or higher.
