Jan 28, 2024 FSA Grooming Report
Current Conditions:
1C at cabin elevation. 2cm new snow in the past 24 hours. 52cm in the past 7 days. Total settled snowpack heights 191cm or more in mid to upper riding elevations. The last few days have seen rain and warm temps at valley bottom with heavy wet snow to the Paige’s Draw elevation (1/3rd of the way up) and dry snow at cabin and upper riding elevations. Last night was the first night groomer reported rain up to cabin elevation since warming trend started.
Today: Rain/snow during the morning and early afternoon, easing to a 60% chance of light rain/wet flurries by late afternoon. Snow level 1700-2000 metres, light accumulation above. High near 3. Tonight: Mainly cloudy with fog patches and a 60% chance of light rain or drizzle. Low 1 or 2.
Grooming:
Corbin: Open. Groomed Monday to the McClatchie on Saturday.
Coal Creek: Open. Coal Creek, Summit, Doug Dean groomed last night.
Morrissey: Open. McEvoy Trail and Morrissey trail groomed last night. Thin snowpack on lowest Morrissey trail.
Hartley: Open. Staging area to east fork of the Sulphur on Friday.
Ram: Open.
