Dec 29, 2022 FSA Groomer’s Report
Current Conditions:
9cm new snow overnight. 73cm in the last 7 days. Snowpack heights between 166-270cm in most riding areas. Total snowfall this season 441cm. 6am temps at cabin elevation -5.3C wtih calm winds. Ridgetop -8.3C unknown winds. The Elk Valley and Rocky Mountain ranges were under the effect of a warm and wet atmospheric river weather event early this week leaving moist snowpack conditions to ridgetop. Temperatures have significantly cooled over the past 48hours and riding conditions mid to upper mountain remain wintery. Expect icy conditions at valley bottom.

Grooming:
Corbin: OPEN. Groomed Dec 28th from staging area to Mt Corrigan avalanche paths.
Coal Creek: OPEN. Coal Creek Trail, Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail groomed last night.
Morrissey: CLOSED. Currently demobilizing post timber harvesting activities. Snowcats working to rebuild the snow road and fill in bridges but we are behind schedule due to recent weather. Upper trail is complete and groomed from the Summit / Doug Dean to the Wranglers Cabin and down to the FWA gate as of Dec 28th. FSA will not be grooming the McEvoy or Pipeline this winter as the areas remain CLOSED for pipeline construction. Please see the map and further details HERE.
Hartley: OPEN. The first scheduled groom is behind a few days due to extreme cold weather last week.
Ram: OPEN. No grooming. Cabin open. The Lodgepole FSR will be plowed from the lower Morrissey parking lot to the Flathead this winter for timber harvesting.
