WEATHER
5cm new snow overnight. 83cm in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights in most areas is 315cm. Spring riding is here with an awesome reload of fresh snow at upper elevations. Expect spring melt-freeze diurnal riding from valley bottom to mid elevations (frozen coral reef in AM, softening up around noon). Deep and dry powder snow riding at mid to upper elevations thanks to this weeks storm cycle. Today: partly cloudy, AM temp -7C, high today 2C. Enjoy!
GROOMED
Morrissey: Morrissey Trail, Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail groomed last night. Note that the Morrissey bridge over the Elk River is being re-decked and will be CLOSED Feb 28-Mar 3 and Mar 7 - 10th from 9am-5pm daily. Upper bridge construction also underway to repair fall flood damage. We will be reducing parking lot plowing and and parking lot connector trail grooming as a result. Morrissey not recommended, use Coal Creek as an alternate.
Coal Creek: Coal Creek Trail groomed last night. TRAIL CHANGE: Please note that the ‘old’ trail does not exist anymore due to flood damage - the FSA has built a NEW trail this fall on the left bank of Coal Creek that rejoins the ‘old’ Coal Creek trail just above the Matheson junction.
Corbin: Groomed Thursday from the staging area to the McClatchie.
Hartley: Groomed Feb 16th from the staging area to the East Fork of the Sulphur.
Ram: Closed to large, impassable washout near km45. Cabin remains locked
