January 15, 2025 FSA Grooming Report


CONDITIONS:

-4C at cabin elevation. 0cm new snow in the past 24 hours. 6cm in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights variable based on riding zone but 189 cm measured at the plot. Total snowfall this season 459cm. This week has brought little new snow due to the typical January dry spell. Riders can expect a variety of conditions. In exposed areas at higher elevations, the snow is generally wind-hardened and firm, while lower, sheltered zones offer about 10 cm of softer, windblown snow resting on a well-packed base. All trails are in excellent condition. 

Today: Cloudy with fog patches and a 50% chance of light flurries during the morning.  Cloudy with possible sunny breaks or sunny periods during the afternoon. High -3 or-4.

Tonight: Possible early evening clear periods, otherwise cloudy with fog patches.  Increasing wind overnight.  Low -4 or -5.


GROOMING:

We’re Open! Staging is at our regular valley bottom parking areas and all trails have great coverage.

Corbin: Groomed from the staging area to the McClatchie and Barnes connector yesterday.

Coal Creek: Coal Creek, Doug Dean, Summit Trail groomed last night. Matheson groomed yesterday. Paige’s groomed 4 days ago.

Morrissey: Upper Morrissey and McEvoy groomed last night. Notch trail to the peak groomed 2 days ago.

Hartley: Groomed 6 days ago.

Ram: Open. No grooming.
