Grooming Report

January 9, 2025 FSA Grooming Report

CONDITIONS:

-8C at cabin elevation. 0cm new snow overnight. 10cm in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights variable based on riding zone but 211 cm measured at the plot. Total snowfall this season 455cm. We’ve seen light snowfall everyday over the past few days, adding approximately 10 cm of fresh powder on top of 30-50 cm (or more) of settling snow from the holiday storm cycle. Snow conditions remain highly variable, with wind-affected and firmer snow in exposed alpine areas, while sheltered spots below treeline offer deeper, softer powder. Popular areas close to the trails and cabins are tracked out but there are plenty of pockets left of good powder riding if you are willing to explore a little. Forecast is calling for the next storm to arrive on Friday - check back for updates as this is a little to far out to be 100% and we are watching the models closely to see how this develops. Groomed trails are in fantastic shape across the board!

Today: Possible low cloud and fog patches during the morning, otherwise sunny with a few bands of cloud.   High -5 or -6.

Tonight: Clear with cloudy periods and fog patches, increasing cloud late overnight. Increasing wind overnight.  Low near -7.
