Dec 22th, 2024 FSA Grooming Report
CONDITIONS:
-1C at cabin elevation this AM. 13cm of new snow in the past 24 hours hours and over 56cm new snow in the past 7 days (over 352cm total this season). Total snowpack heights variable but around 182cm at the cabins. Moist snow up to about 1480m last night (Paige’s Draw or 1/3 way up trail) but dry snow above.
Today: Mainly cloudy with a 50% chance of flurries and possible fog patches during the early-mid morning. Cloudy with sunny breaks or sunny periods late morning and afternoon. High 0 or 1.
Tonight: Cloudy with a 60% chance of flurries or occasional (generally light) snow. Minor to low end light accumulation, possible trace to 4 cm. Low near -2.
GROOMING:
We’re Open! Staging is at our regular valley bottom parking areas. Please ride with caution and stay alert for unmarked hazards.
Corbin: Groomed from the staging area to the McClatchie and Barnes connector Friday.
Coal Creek: Coal Creek, Summit Trail, and Doug Dean and Matheson groomed last night.
Morrissey: Morrissey and McEvoy Trail groomed last night. Notch groomed to the peak a week ago (grooming to the peak on hold due to current avalanche hazard).
Hartley: Open. No grooming yet the season - snowcat is being moved into position with anticipated first groom of the season shortly!
Ram: Open. No grooming.
