December 1 2023 FSA Groomer’s Report

Current Conditions:

1cm new snow in the past 24hrs. 1 cm new snow in the past 7 days. Snowpack height 80-90cm in mid-to upper elevations, tapering off at valley bottom. Temps this morning at 6AM: -4C with light winds at cabin elevation and -12.7C with light winds at ridgetop. Photos below from Corbin, Nov 29th, 2023.

Grooming:

Corbin: Low snow on first section of trail. Groomed to the Rain Gauge November 29th, 2023.

Coal Creek: Low snow at valley bottom trail. Scheduled to open December 23, 2023, conditions dependent.

Morrissey: Road plowed for timber-harvesting. Scheduled to open December 23, 2023, conditions dependent.

Hartley: Low snow at valley bottom trail. First groom scheduled for week after Christmas, conditions dependent.

Ram: Cabin open. The Lodgepole FSR is plowed from Morrissey to the McClatchie for timber-harvesting. There is excellent information regarding radio call up/down procedures, channel maps and more HERE.
