Ram landslide, km 41

‘BumbleBraap’ ready to be shipped to Corbin

It’s Happening…

With the first snowfalls of the season here in Fernie, BC now under our belt, the FSA is ramping up for Winter 2021/2022.

Corbin:

Holding about a foot of snow at valley bottom as of yesterday with more in the upper elevation riding areas. Creeks and ponds are still open and running. Snowmobiling off the main road is not recommended . The snowcat will be delivered next week and we will start track packing and road building ASAP. Thank you to Sharp Trucking Services for your support delivering our precious cargo!

Coal Creek / Morrissey:

Snow to valley bottom. Roads plowed for industrial activity. Canfor will be logging and actively hauling in the area. We anticipate they will be complete just prior to Christmas depending on snow levels. New snowcat scheduled to arrive in early December.

Hartley:

No information yet.

Ram:

Large landslide at 41km. No access. Road is not passable.

REMINDER:

Many areas that you may be familiar with snowmobiling in the winter are Motor Vehicle Closure Areas outside of our winter trail grooming season. YOU are responsible for knowing where these closures are and keeping out. Non-compliance may jeopardize the future of snowmobiling in Fernie. It is illegal to snowmobile on a plowed forest service road in BC.
