Fernie Snowmobile Association Named BC’s Snowmobile Club of the Year
Fernie, BC – April 11, 2025
The Fernie Snowmobile Association (FSA) is thrilled to announce that we have been named British Columbia’s Snowmobile Club of the Year by the BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) at the annual BCSF Excellence Awards, held this year in Squamish on March 22, 2025.
Each year, the BCSF gathers nominations from riders, industry partners, and nearly 60 member clubs across the province to recognize those who go above and beyond in supporting the sport of snowmobiling. FSA President Justin Boehm was proud to be on hand to accept the award on behalf of the association and its many dedicated volunteers.
The FSA received an incredible number of heartfelt and notable nominations, citing our commitment to delivering exceptional public recreation infrastructure, including:
One of BC’s most extensive trail grooming programs
A strong focus on safety and stewardship initiatives
Meaningful community engagement and fundraising efforts
Volunteer-driven programs that support both local and visiting riders
“This recognition belongs to every volunteer, every supporter, and every member who believes in building something great here in Fernie,” said Boehm. “We’re proud to represent this community and honored to be part of a sport that brings people together and celebrates responsible access to the backcountry.”
We share this award with our passionate community, our valued partners, and everyone who contributes to the mission of sustainable, safe, and fun snowmobiling in the Elk Valley.
Thank you to the BCSF, our fellow clubs across BC, and most of all—our members—for helping us earn this incredible honour. We’re just getting started!
