Morrissey Groomer’s Report

Weather: 2C. the freezing level is around 1500m (graffiti rock elevation), forecast for this afternoon is sunny breaks with fog patches and moderate winds, snow developing later in the day with 12-20cm expected overnight on Saturday.

Conditions: 5cm new snow in the past 24 hours, 37cm in the past 7 days, total snowpack over 1m (variable depending on elevation).

Groomed: Morrissey Trail, Notch trail to the top of the second bypass, Doug Dean Trail, Summit Trail, McEvoy Trail / South Pipeline. Upper Morrissey lot plowed, parking lot connector trail half plowed due to trees down (groomer could not fit around last night and we are limited with what we can cut here on the Nature Conservancy lands, lower parking lot open but not plowed. Please stay on the bush connector trail between lots and kiosk – do not snowmobile on the public roadway, it is illegal and subject to fines.

Corbin last groomed Friday, Dec 18th. Harley groomed December 18th – note that the access road to the staging area is not recommended for trailers or trucks without chains.

Cabins: Wranglers and Morrissey Cabin open with a maximum 4 PERSON OCCUPANCY and MASKS MANDATORY. Please help us respect these regulations and keep our facilities open.

Weather: 2C, overcast skies.  11cm new snow in the past 48 hours, 34cm in the past 7 days

Conditions: First Hartley groom of the season. Snow coverage on the lower trail remains thin in areas. Eary season conditions throughout.

Groomed: Staging Area to East Fork of the Sulpher groomed  (20km). Removed multiple trees and brush that had fallen and blocked trail.

Conditions: Excellent trail coverage, between 100-150cm of snow in most riding areas.

Groomed: Staging area to the McClatchie (20km).

Weather: 1C, partly cloudy, no new snow in the past 24 hours, approx 1 ft of snow on the trail, approx 70cm of mid-mountain snowpack.
