Weather and Snow: -2C, no new snow overnight, total snowpack heights variable but around 200cm.
Groomed: Morrissey Trail, Doug Dean Trail, Summit Trail, Notch Trail, Coal Creek Trail
With the spring melt well on it’s way, riders will find the best lower elevation trail conditions/access via the Morrissey. Remember: Coal Creek was plowed to dirt up until Feb 16th so the only snow on the trail below Paige’s Draw is what we could salvage from the banks or what fell from the sky since then. We will be moving staging access uphill at Coal Creek this week. Vehicles choosing to stage out of Coal Creek can use the main parking lot, or stop at the kiosk to check in with the attendant and if room, drive past kiosk up trail to the turnaround and park facing downhill on the road (NORTH side of the road) to reduce the amount of ‘dirt’ you need to ride. Please help us conserve the trail and do not drive in your vehicles past the updated snow berm location! We will do our best to plow turn arounds and gradually move the staging access uphill as conditions permit. We are still grooming all Morrissey and Coal Creek loops 4 nights a week and conditions are excellent spring riding.
