Morrissey & Coal Creek Groomer’s Report

Weather: -2C, clear, light winds

Conditions: 0cm new snow in the past 24 hours. Total snowpack heights 200-250+cm in most riding areas.

Groomer Notes

  • Morrissey & Coal Creek: Morrissey Trail, Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail, Coal Creek Trail, Notch trail to the summit groomed last night. Upper riding areas in excellent condition. The lowest trails from the staging area up approx 3km at both CC and Morrissey are now spring-like snow with occasional dirt,  ice, and thin sections. Morrissey parking lot connector trail in poor condition – recommended staging out of Coal Creek for more favorable riding conditions. Lower Morrissey parking lot will be closed for the season at the end of the day today due to spring melt conditions.
  • Corbin Groomed from the staging area to the East Fork of the Sulpher on March 5th. Trail in excellent condition.
  • Hartley: Groomed from the staging area to the fork of the East Sulphur groomed March 9th.

NOTES: COVID signage posted in cabins is a requirement of our continued operation. If individuals continue to remove signage cabins will be locked and closed to the public.
