Corbin Groomer’s Report
April 10 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Weather: 1C, 12cm new snow overnight, 24cm in the past 7 days.
Corbin: Groomed from the staging area to the McClatchie last night. Good spring riding conditions with full snow coverage still on trail.
Coal Creek: Last groom of the season was April 2nd. Expect dirt 1-5km up trail. Turn around has been created near the snowline at the Matheson Junction. Please keep the turn around clear and park on the road facing downhill. Do not be ‘that guy’ that blocks traffic for everyone else. Good spring riding conditions at upper elevations.
Morrissey: Last groom of the season was April 2nd. Expect dirt 1-5km up trail. Good spring riding conditions at upper elevations. Morrissey staging areas closed per land-use partnership agreements to protect conservation lands during spring break up. There are no suitable areas to stage up trail at this time with unfavorable road conditions up through the canyon. Please wait until a little later in the spring to stage up trail – use Coal Creek as alternate access to Morrissey trails.
REMINDER: No wheeled vehicles permitted on snowmobile trails until after May 31st each year. Areas such as ‘the Notch’ that you may be accustomed to riding in the winter have seasonal motor vehicle closures in place. No snowmobiling permitted in these areas after May 31st and no other motorized traffic is permitted at any time during the year (eg quads, trucks, 4×4’s…). See maps here for more information.
