Grooming Report

February 2, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Saturday, February 2, 2019

Weather and Snow: 3C at valley bottom, -1C at cabin elevation, 35cm new snow overnight, total snowpack heights hovering around 210cm

Grooming: Morrissey Trail, Doug Dean Trail, Summit Trail, Notch, McEvoy East to the Pipeline Extention. Heavy wet snow below the Summit Trail turn off but good dry powder sledding at upper elevations. Please note that due to elevated avalanche hazard some grooming routes may be modified over the next 24 hours. Corbin is scheduled to be groomed this afternoon from staging area to Rain Guage.

Coal Creek: please note that we are working to rebuild the staging area and trail to Paige’s Draw – heavy equipment is currently operating to delicately blade in the snowbanks and sift out debris in preparation for grooming operations. A reminder that it is illegal to snowmobile on a plowed forest service road in BC. We would like to ask that sledders DO NOT travel in this area or park your vehicles on the road as we cannot build the snow road if people or vehicles are in the way.
