Weather and Conditions: -3C, clear skies, no new snow overnight, snowing lightly this AM. Total snowpack heights variable but around 2 meters at upper riding elevations. Spring melt now well underway: expect patchy dirt/snow riding up Coal Creek below the Matheson and up Morrissey below the first bridge. We are still grooming corduroy above these elevations with good spring corn snow. No refreeze overnight.
Spring Parking: We are allowing trucks/sled decks and small trailers to travel past the Coal Creek Kiosk up the trail to the first bridge. From here, please use the plowed turnaround provided and park facing downhill on the North side of the road. Check in with kiosk attendant to ensure there is room for you! Best staging for large trailers at this time is Morrissey – please note there is NO ROOM for vehicles and trailers to park or turn around above the Morrissey Kiosk at this time. Help us conserve trail quality and keep our grooming season going as long as possible by NOT driving your vehicles up the groomed trail past the snowline.
Groomed: Morrissey (from the first bridge up), Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail, Coal Creek down to the switchback. No grooming or trail maintenance at Corbin due to logging activities.
