Weather and Conditions: -3C, clear skies, no new snow overnight. Total snowpack heights variable but around 2 meters at upper riding elevations. Both lower Coal Creek and Morrissey trails are starting their spring melt out with patches of dirt now showing – the groomer operator has been spending considerable time pushing snow around to maintain coverage as best possible on all groomed routes. Conditions are spring corn snow throughout with no overnight re-freeze. Lowest Coal Creek between the staging area and the first bridge has limited snow left – we are allowing vehicles to drive past the kiosk up trail, turn around in the upper parking lot beside the bridge and park facing downtrail on North side of the road. Please check in with the attendant to ensure there is room left – suitable for trucks with sled decks only. For those hauling large trailers, we recommend using the Morrissey Staging Area for best parking/access at this time. Please help us conserve trail quality and length of our operating season by NOT driving up the groomed trail past the snowline.
Groomed: Morrissey (from the first bridge up), Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail, Coal Creek down to the switchback. No grooming or trail maintenance at Corbin due to logging activities.
